OpenStreetMap
All facility data on sportcarte comes from OpenStreetMap, a collaborative project to create a free, editable map of the world. OpenStreetMap is built by a community of mappers who contribute and maintain data about roads, trails, cafés, railway stations, sports facilities, and much more, all over the world.
We are deeply grateful to the thousands of OpenStreetMap contributors who have mapped sports facilities across Europe, making this project possible. Their dedication to open data enables projects like ours to exist.
Map Rendering
Interactive maps are rendered using Leaflet, an open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap.
Open-Source Technologies
sportcarte is built with modern open-source web technologies, including:
- Astro - Web framework for content-focused websites
- Vue.js - Progressive JavaScript framework
- Leaflet - Interactive mapping library
We extend our thanks to the maintainers and contributors of these projects.
